Apex Legends Season 11 review

Ethan Shin

Apex Legends is a free online multiplayer battle royale game created by Respawn Entertainment.  The game was released on February 4, 2019 and it is currently available on PC, Playstation, Xbox, and Switch. Apex is now in it’s 11th season with 19 total characters to play as, each with different abilities. Apex also now has four battle royale maps (King’s Canyon, World’s Edge, Olympus, and Storm Point) and a total of 7 modes (training, firing range, battle royale duos and trios, battle royale ranked, arenas, and arenas ranked). According to activeplayer.io, Apex Legends currently has 100 million active players in 2022.

This season, however, was the most difficult and boring season I have played in this game. The LMG  called the ramage has caused huge problems with the apex community due to it being too “overpowered,” allowing players to kill multiple people without having to reload. King’s Canyon and Olympus have been removed for this season, which caused a huge disappointment in the community, forcing them to play on World’s Edge and Storm Point over and over again. Despite having a new battle royale map, Storm Point brought more problems to players as well. Storm Point is a big map. But it is so big that it is difficult to find enemy players. What is even worse about season 11 of Apex Legends is that the game did not have many updates.

Is this game still worth playing? In my opinion, yes it is. Overall, the game is still fun despite the issues. The new Dark Depths event is alright and the new arena’s map Habitat is pretty cool. Hopefully next season Respawn adds more updates to the game.
