Mauna Loa Eruption
The world’s largest active volcano named Mauna Loa erupts in Hawaii. The volcano hasn’t erupted since 1984 and it erupted at 11:30 pm Sunday 2022 for the first time in a while. Residents on Hawaii’s island were given a warning even though there is no immediate danger to them, Although they were told that it’s still a danger and the lava flows can change rapidly. “Typically Mauna Loa eruptions start off with the heaviest volume, After a few days it starts to calm down a little bit” Said Han to the Associated press. The 200,000 people in potential harms way is more than double than the last time Mauna Loa erupted. The eruption followed with a past week of warnings for the residents.
